WE FUND PROJECTS FOR PUBLIC GOODS IN AREAS EXPERIENCING ECONOMIC STRUGGLE. FOR OUR PILOT PROJECT, WE CHOSE TOGO, WEST AFRICA. WE INVITED OVER 100 PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE BY IDENTIFYING PROBLEMS THEIR COMMUNITY IS FACING, PROPOSE SOLUTIONS TO THOSE PROBLEMS THAT THEY THEMSELVES CAN IMPLEMENT, AND THEN VOTE ON ALL THE PROPOSALS AS A COMMUNITY SO THAT OUTSIDE DONORS CAN KNOW THEY ARE FUNDING PROJECTS ON WHICH THE COMMUNITY HAS COME TO CONSENSUS ABOUT NEEDED. WE THEN SEND FUNDS TO THE PROJECT LEADERS AND TRACK PROGRESS AS THEY ACCOMPLISH THE GOALS THEY SET FORTH IN THEIR PROPOSALS.
