THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT AND STRENGTHEN OUR MEMBERS THROUGH ADVOCACY, COMMUNICATIONS, PEER LEARNING, AND BEST PRACTICES DEVELOPMENT. MEMBERS PROVIDE HOUSING AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORKING FAMILIES, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, AND SENIORS.

INDUSTRY SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES OUR MEMBERS WITH BEST PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND PEER NETWORKING. WE CONVENE FOUR PEER GROUPS: FISCAL MANAGEMENT; MULTIFAMILY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT; PROPERTY AND ASSET MANAGEMENT; AND RESIDENT SERVICES. WE ALSO HOLD AN ANNUAL INDUSTRY SUPPORT CONFERENCE AND OTHER WORKSHOPS AS FEASIBLE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.PUBLIC POLICY AND ADVOCACY THE ORGANIZATION ADVOCATES FOR AND COORDINATES POLICY EFFORTS THROUGH A RURAL POLICY COUNCIL AND PORTLAND METRO POLICY COUNCIL FOR OUR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS DEVELOPING RECOMMENDATIONS TO GOVERNMENT AND REGULATORY AGENCIES, COORDINATING ADVOCACY FOR INCREASED FUNDING FOR AND AGAINST POLICIES HARMFUL TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT.
