RESEARCH ACTIVITIES ARE PERFORMED TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE USE OF U.S. WHEAT. THE LAB PERFORMS RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN THE AREAS OF MILLING AND PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES FOR WHEAT. ADDITIONALLY, THE LAB EXPERIMENTS WITH DIFFERENT FORMULATIONS FEATURING WHEAT IN AREAS OF GROWING CONSUMER INTEREST. LABORATORY SPECIALISTS HAVE CONSULTED WITH FOREIGN USERS OF U.S. WHEAT IN IDENTIFYING THE BEST TYPES OF U.S. WHEAT FOR A GIVEN PRODUCT AND IN IDENTIFYING THE BEST PROCESSES FOR PREPARING WHEAT PRODUCTS GEARED TO A TARGETED CONSUMER MARKET.
