CRATER ROCK MUSEUM IS OPEN THE ENTIRE YEAR, HOSTING APPROXIMATELY 5,000 VISTORS ANNUALLY, OFFERING SEVERAL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR KIDS, ROCK CLUB MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT ROCK, GEM AND MINERAL IDENTIFICATION, GEOLOGY AND PALEONTOLOGY. THERE ARE SEVERAL EVENTS CONDUCTED TO FURTHER EDUCATE THE PUBLIC SUCH AS MONTHLY KID'S DAY, ANNUAL GEM SHOW WITH JEWELRY AND CRAFTS DEMONSTRATIONS, WORKSHOPS, INTERNSHIPS, GEOLOGY FIELD TRIPS AND OUTDOOR EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES.
