OPERATION OF SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR URBAN CHILDREN WITH EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO APPROX. 1,200 STUDENTS IN A K-12 SYSTEM IN A LOWER AND UPPER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM AND THREE SECONDARY SCHOOL PROGRAMS. SCHOOLS INCLUDE THE SEEDS OF HEALTH ELEMENTARY (K4-8TH GRADES), GRANDVIEW HIGH SCHOOL, TENOR HIGH SCHOOL, AND VERITAS HIGH SCHOOL. TENOR HIGH SCHOOL WAS AWARDED A FIVE-YEAR CHARTER SCHOOL EXPANSION GRANT OF $750,000 THAT WILL INCREASE PROGRAM ACCESS TO AN ADDITIONAL 250 STUDENTS BY 2024. KEY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIONAL FACILITY SPACE AND INFRASTRUCTURE, FURNISHING AND EQUIPMENT, LEARNING TECHNOLOGY, STAFFING, CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION, PARTNERSHIPS, AND MARKETING WHILE SUPPORTING A SUSTAINED THS PROGRAM FOCUS ON ESSENTIAL LEARNING OUTCOMES AND QUALITY LEARNING METHODS AS ENROLLMENT EXPANDS.
WIC (WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN PROGRAM) - SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO PROMOTE AND MAINTAIN THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF NUTRITIONALLY AT-RISK PREGNANT, BREASTFEEDING, AND POSTPARTUM WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN. WIC PROVIDES SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITIOUS FOODS, NUTRITION AND BREASTFEEDING INFORMATION, AS WELL AS REFERRALS TO OTHER HEALTH AND NUTRITION SERVICES.
