THE SOCIETY SPONSORS GERMAN LANGUAGE CLASSES FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-18 AND ADULTS. STUDENT ENROLLMENT VARIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FROM 50-150. THE GERMAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM HAS A FABULOUS STAFF OF HIGHLY EXPERIENCED NATIVE AND NEAR-NATIVE GERMAN SPEAKERS WHO TEACH IN A FULL-IMMERSION ENVIRONMENT AND PROVIDES EXCELLENT CLASSROOM SPACE FOR INTERACTIVE AND ENGAGING LEARNING. CLASSES MEET 30 TIMES A YEAR, SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY, AND CELEBRATE TRADITIONAL GERMAN HOLIDAYS.
SOCIETY SPONSORS AND HOSTS CULTURAL EVENTS TO SHARE THE GERMAN CULTURE WITH THE GREATER PORTLAND COMMUNITY. EVENTS INCLUDED STAMMTISCH ON THE THIRD FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH, OKTOBERFEST IN SEPTEMBER, AND THE GERMAN FILM FESTIVAL IN AUGUST.
