IN 2023 VETERANS AND PATRIOTS UNITED PROVIDED IN PERSON RECOVERY SERVICES TO OVER 250 VETERANS THROUGH IN-HOUSE PROGRAMMING, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, AND HOSPITAL AND JAIL VISITATIONS. WE HOUSED 40 VETERANS ON-SITE AT VPU THROUGHOUT 2023 AND PLACED ANOTHER 40 VETERANS INTO FIRST LEVEL TREATMENT FACILITIES AT WEST OAKS, GREAT OAKS AND CAMP HOPE. WE PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION AND FUNDING FOR DOZENS OF VETERANS TO RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING AT THE REFUGE COUNSELING CENTER IN CONROE AS WELL AS TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT TO THE HOUSTON VA HOSPITAL AND SURROUNDING PTSD TREATMENT FACILITIES. WE HOUSED AND SUPPORTED SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION FOR INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN VETERAN'S TREATMENT COURT. WE CONDUCTED 52 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS OF MONUMENT MAINTENANCE OF THE VIETNAM WALL INCLUDING CITATION READING RECOGNIZING VIETNAM VETERANS AT THE HEARTS VETERANS MUSEUM OF TEXAS. WE FACILITATED ATTENDANCE OF 30 VETERANS TO RETREATS: MT2819 MEN'S ADVANCED AND NEW HEART OF TEXAS DUTY TO HEAL RETREAT. WE ASSISTED VARIOUS COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE VFW AND LIONS CLUB, WITH MANPOWER TO ACCOMPLISH VARIOUS SERVICE ACTIVITIES. WE PROVIDED SAFETY TEAMS TO PRO-LIFE PRAYER VIGILS AND WORKED AS GREETERS AND USHERS AT PRO-LIFE EVENTS. WE MENTORED ASPIRING BEEKEEPERS AND CONSTRUCTED A BEE APIARY ON OUR PROPERTY. WE ALSO DID RESCUE RECOVERY AND HOUSING FOR AN AT-RISK YOUTH WHO WAS HOMELESS AFTER AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM, GUIDING HIM THROUGH THE RECRUITING PROCESS THAT RESULTED IN SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF AIR FORCE BASIC TRAINING.
