FOOD FOR THE SPIRIT'S MISSION IS TO USE THE ARTS AND CREATIVE FACILITATION TO CULTIVATE RACIAL HEALING, ECOLOGICAL JUSTICE, AND EQUITABLE FOOD SYSTEMS. F4TS' PROGRAMS ARE EDUCATIONAL IN NATURE, OPERATING AND PARTNERING WITH NETWORKS MADE UP OF FACILITATORS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS WORKING TOGETHER AND CENTERING PRINCIPLES OF RACIAL EQUITY AND FOOD SOVEREIGNTY THROUGH COLLECTIVE DECISION MAKING. THE THREE MAIN PROGRAMS OF SERVICE OUR FACILITATORS SUPPORT ARE: 1. PLACE-BASED NETWORK DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT 2. FACILITATING COMMUNITY STORY TELLING, SHIFTING NARRATIVES AND PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING 3. HOSTING HEALING AND ECOLOGICAL JUSTICE RETREATS. 64.5% OF F4TS'S EXPENSES FUND PLACE-BASED NETWORK DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT. THIS INCLUDES NETWORK SUPPORT (FUNDING, STRATEGIC PLANNING, NETWORK GATHERINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT ANDPROJECT MANAGEMENT, RESOURCES FOR NETWORK ACTIVITIES, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR MEMBERS TO ENGAGE IN POLITICAL EDUCATION AND COLLECTIVE ADVOCACY), COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS, AND EDUCATIONAL TRAINING AND PROGRAMS. 18.3% OF EXPENSES ARE USED FOR STOYTELLING AND SHIFTING NARATIVE PROGRAMS. 10.8% OF EXPENSES FUND HEALING & ECOLOGICAL JUSTICE RETREATS. THE REMAINING 5.5% FUND THE "CONVERSATIONS ON RACE AND RACISM" PROGRAM.
