Describe the Organization's Mission:

Part 3 - Line 1

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL IS A CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION AND WELCOMES VOLUNTEERS FROM ALL FAITHS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO HABITAT'S GOAL OF ELIMINATING POVERTY. HOMES ARE BUILT AND SOLD WITH NO PROFIT MADE TO HOMEOWNERS THAT MAY NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A HOME LOAN. HOMEOWNERS CONTRIBUTE 'SWEAT EQUITY' IN ADDITION TO MODEST HOUSE PAYMENTS WHICH ARE THEN REUSED TO BUILD ADDITIONAL HOMES.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

DURING THE 2021 TAX YEAR, CENTRAL PENINSULA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WORKED TO RE-FURBISH, AND RE-ASSIGN A PROPERTY WHICH WAS UNFORTUNATELY TURNED BACK OVER TO THE ENTITY IN THE PRIOR FISCAL YEAR. DURING THE NEW PARTNER FAMILY SEARCH AND TRANSFER, HCPHFH PAID ALL UTILITIES, LEGAL FEES, AND CLOSING COSTS IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE HOME FROM DAMAGE DURING THE WINTER. THE NEW PARTNER FAMILY COMPLETED THEIR HOURS FOR THE HOME AND WERE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY TAKE POSSESSION. A NEW BUILD WAS NOT STARTED DURING TAX YEAR 2021 AS WE HAD HOPED DUE TO THE COST OF BUILDING MATERIALS AND SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES. HOWEVER, WE WERE ABLE TO USE OUR GRANT DOLLARS TO PURCHASE MATERIALS FOR THE NEW BUILD WHICH WAS STARTED IN LATE SUMMER TAX YEAR 2022.
