THE GLACIER MANOR COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL CENTER IS A CORRECTIONAL REHABILITATION CENTER EMPHASIZING CLIENT ACCESS TO EDUCATION, TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT, TREATMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DISORDERS AND ADEQUATE HOUSING. THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES A RESIDENTIAL COMPONENT THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 40 CLIENTS. RHE CORE MISSION OF GHS IS TO REHABILITATE PERSONS. REHABILITATION IN THIS SENSE, TRANSLATES INTO OUR RESIDENTS BECOMING PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS OF THEIR COMMUNITY. DURING THE PAST YEAR THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED A TOTAL OF 12,613 CLIENT-DAYS OF RESIDENTIAL SERVICES AND 9,790 CLIENT-HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE.
THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TREATMENT PROGRAM PROVIDES ADDICTION TREATMENT SERVICES FOR ADULTS IN AN OUTPATIENT SETTING. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL ASSESSMENTS, INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, GROUP COUNSELING, FAMILY COUNSELING, SKILL BUILDING, AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR PERSONS DIAGNOSED WITH SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. THE GOAL IS FOR PERSONS TO BECOME FUNCTIONAL, EMPLOYED, REUNITE WITH THEIR FAMILIES AND REPAY MONIES OWED. DURING THE PAST YEAR THIS PROGRAM SERVED 103 INDIVIDUALS.
PART OF OUR MISSION AT GHS IS TO PROVIDE HOUSING TO PERSONS WHO HAVE NOPERMANENT HOUSING. THIS ENABLES THE RESIDENT TO BECOME STABILIZED, RETURNTO WORK AND SLOWLY CREATE INDEPENDENCE. THE HOMELESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AIDS THOSE WHO ARE HOMELESS OR AT IMMINENT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS. HOMELESS PREVENTION SERVICES INCLUDE EMERGENCYSHELTER, TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, ASSISTANCE WITH RENT AND UTILITY ARREARAGES AND ASSISTANCE WITH PERMANENT HOUSING PLACEMENT. THIS PROGRAM OFTEN ACTS IN CONCERT WITH OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS. DURING THE PAST YEAR THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED RESIDENTIAL SERVICES TO 29 CLIENTS, HOMELESS PREVENTION AND PLACEMENT SERVICES TO 31 HOUSEHOLDS, AND SUPPORT TO LOCAL EMERGENCY SHELTERS.
COMMUNITY WORK SERVICE PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES WORK SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES IN LIEU OF FINES FOR THOSE CONVICTED OF MISDEMEANOR OFFENSES. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO FOSTER PARTICIPANTS PROVIDING SERVICE WORK THAT GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, PARTICULARLY TO THOSE PERSONS WHO ARE MARGINALIZED. DURING THE PAST YEAR, THE COMMUNITY WORK SERVICE PROGRAM, WORKED WITH 88 INDIVIDUALS; THESE INDIVIDUALS CONTRIBUTED 205 HOURS OF WORK SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY. GASTINEAU HOUSE - THIS RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAM PROVIDES LOW-INTENSITY SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT. THE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM PROVIDES SKILL BUILDING SERVICES, ACCESS AND FACILITATION TO 12-STEP AND OTHER RECOVERY GROUPS, CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING, AND FAMILY COUNSELING FOR PERSONS WHO NEED STRUCTURE TO MAINTAIN SOBRIETY. FOR RESIDENTS WHO ARE REQUIRE ADDITIONAL TREATMENT SERVICES, THEY ARE PROVIDED THROUGH OUR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT. DURING THE PAST YEAR, WE SERVED 9 RESIDENTS. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO GIVE PERSONS TREATMENT AND SUPPORT WHILE RESIDING IN SAFE/SOBER HOUSING. THIS AFFORDS THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK, SAVE MONIES, REPAIR RELATIONSHIPS AND WORK TOWARD INDEPENDENCE.
