THE SOCIETY'S MISSION IS TO PRESERVE RAILWAY HISTORY BY COLLECTING DOCUMENTS, ARTIFACTS, AND EQUIPMENT OF HISTORICAL INTEREST REGARDING PAST AND PRESENT RAILROADS IN THE INLAND NORTHWEST. THE SOCIETY MAINTAINS A REPOSITORY OF DOCUMENTS AND BOOKS TO BE USED FOR RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND PUBLICATION PURPOSES.

PRESERVATION OF RAILROAD HISTORY BY COLLECTION OF EQUIPMENT, DOCUMENTS, AND HISTORY. PRESENTATION TO THE PUBLIC OF RAILROAD HISTORY VIA WORKSHOPS, OPEN HOUSE, ATTENDANCE AT SPOKANE INTERSTATE FAIR, AND AN ANNUAL TRAIN SHOW.
