AUGUST 2021, 18 TEAMS WERE ABLE TO RETURN FOR PRACTICE, WITH LIMITED PRACTICE AND FOLLOWING STRICT COVID PROTOCOLS AS PER CDC AND SAN FRANCISCO CITY AND COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.TEAMS RANGED FROM 5TH GRADE THROUGH 12TH GRADE, BOYS AND GIRLS.ALL TEAMS WERE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES DURING PRACTICE AND GAMES. OUR PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES WERE UPDATED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOLLOWING CDC AND SAN FRANCISCO CITY AND COUNTY.DUE TO COVID PROTOCOLS, TEAMS WERE ONLY ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN A TOTAL OF 56 TOURNAMENTS OR LEAGUES DURING THE YEAR, AS MANY EXTERNAL PROGRAMS WERE NOT AVAILABLE DUE TO COVID.UNUSED TEAM FUNDS REMAINING AT START OF THE 2020 COVID SHELTER IN PLACE WERE CREDITED TO RETURNING PLAYERS. DUE TO LIMITED ACCESS TO GYM RENTALS, OUR ANNUAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT WAS CANCELLED, BUT A 1 DAY FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT WAS HELD FOR OUR GRADUATING SENIORS, CLASS OF 2022. TOTAL OF 5 TEAMS PARTICIPATED.THREE 4TH GRADE TEAMS (2 BOYS AND 1 GIRLS) WERE STARTED IN THE EARLY SPRING, INCREASING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TEAMS TO 21.A 6 DAY (2 HOURS/DAY) SUMMER INSTRUCTIONAL CLINIC WAS HELD FOR RISING 3RD GRADE.
