LAST MILE SUPPLY CHAIN: IN ITS EFFORTS TO PROVIDE QUALITY HEALTH SERVICES TO ITS CITIZENS, THE GOVERNMENT OF MOZAMBIQUE AND USAID PARTNERED WITH VILLAGEREACH TO DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT A STREAMLINED, EFFECTIVE AND INTEGRATED LAST MILE SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEM. THE PROGRAM BEGAN IN ZAMBZIA PROVINCE COVERING TWO DISTRICTS IN OCTOBER 2018. IN 2020 AND 2021, THE PROGRAM EXPANDED TO REACH 10 OF 11 PROVINCES IN MOZAMBIQUE WITH ROUTINE, OUTSOURCED DELIVERIES OF MEDICINES AND VACCINES.
ACCELERATING NEXT: GENERATION SUPPLY CHAINS AND SUPPLY CHAIN INTEGRATORS: VILLAGEREACH WORKS WITH MINISTRIES OF HEALTH TO DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT "NEXT-GENERATION" SUPPLY CHAINS TO GET MEDICINES AND VACCINES TO ALL COMMUNITIES.
