NORTHWEST HEALTH FOUNDATION'S (NWHF'S) CIVIC HEALTH INITIATIVE PROVIDES GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT, CAPACITY BUILDING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ORGANIZATIONS TO GIVE THEM THE TOOLS TO SUPPORT STRONG, ENDURING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT IN THEIR COMMUNITIES TO SHAPE POLICIES FOR GOOD HEALTH.


NORTHWEST HEALTH FOUNDATION (NWHF) PROVIDES SPONSORSHIPS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AWARDS TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY-LED EFFORTS THAT SHARE THE FOUNDATION'S EQUITY PRIORITIES (RACE/ETHNICITY, INCLUDING IMMIGRANT AND REFUGEE IDENTIFICATION; GEOGRAPHY AND DISABILITY) BUT ARE SMALLER REQUESTS THAT DO NOT FIT WITHIN A MAJOR PROGRAMMATIC AREA. THESE AWARDS ARE FOR COMMUNITY EVENTS, FUNDRAISERS, LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AND CONFERENCES.


NONPROFIT MODERNIZATION ACT - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NONPROFIT ASSOCIATION OF OREGON, NWHF HAS BUILT A COALITION ACROSS OREGON TO PROPOSE AND ADVOCATE FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING PROCESS WITH NONPROFTS AND DIRECTLY IMPACT WAGES.
