THE COLUMBIA ALPACA BREEDERS ASSOCIATION IS AN ORGANIZATION OF MEMBERS OWNING ALPACAS AND INVOLVED IN THEIR COMMERCIAL USE THROUGH BREEDING, SALES, FIBER PRODUCTION AND RELATED RETAIL ACTIVITIES. THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTES ITS MEMBERS' COMMON BUSINESS INTERESTS THROUGH THE EXCHANGE OF ALPACA RELATED INFORMATION, THE POOLING OF RESOURCES, THE PROMOTION OF THE ALPACA INDUSTRY TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THE HOSTING OF MAJOR EVENTS, NOTABLY AN ANNUAL ALPACA SHOW WITH A NATIONALLY CERTIFIED COMPETITION JUDGING ANIMALS ON VARIOUS COMMERCIALLY SIGNIFICANT CHARACTERISTICS.
