EVERGREEN RURAL WATER OF WASHINGTON IS AN ASSOCIATION THAT SERVES THE NEEDS OF WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITIES THROUGHOUT WASHINGTON STATE. IT PROVIDES ON-SITE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING, AND LEADERSHIP ON ISSUES AFFECTING THE INDUSTRY.

USDA CIRCUIT RIDER PROGRAM PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING TO ELIGIBLE PUBLIC WATER SYSTEMS IN THE AREAS OF OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE, WATER TREATMENT, RULE & REGULATION COMPLIANCE, LOAN APPLICATION, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, GENERAL MANAGEMENT AND BOARD TRAINING. CIRCUIT RIDERS ARE TO WORK ALONGSIDE THE OPERATORS TO SHOW THEM HOW TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS WHILE THE SYSTEM PERSONNEL MUST PARTICIPATE IN THE CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TAKEN DURING THE VISIT.


OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES CONSIST OF PAID TRAINING, MEMBERSHIP DUES, APPRENTICESHIP, ENERGY EFFICIENCY, SUSTAINABILITY AND RELATED SERVICES PROVIDED TO WATER AND WASTEWATER OPERATORS ON ALL DIFFERENT LEVELS INCLUDING CONTINUING EDUCATION, AS WELL AS A BACK FLOW ASSEMBLY TESTER EXAM REVIEW COURSE, AMONG OTHER TRAINING COURSES.


THE PURPOSE OF THE WASTEWATER PROGRAMS IS TO PROTECT THE NATION'S MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT IN RURAL AND SMALL MUNICIPAL WATER/WASTEWATER SYSTEMS BY PROVIDING ON-SITE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE THAT ASSURES COST-EFFECTIVE OPERATIONS AND ADEQUATE INCOME FOR BOTH OPERATIONS AND DEBT SERVICE WITHIN EACH STATE.


USDA SOURCE WATER PROTECTION DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A PLAN TO ADDRESS STATE SPECIFIC SOURCE WATER PROTECTION NEEDS OF RURAL AND SMALL COMMUNITY WATER SYSTEMS IN THE STATE. PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO RURAL AND SMALL COMMUNITIES IN THE FORMATION OF SOURCE WATER PROTECTION PLANS, ACTS AS A LIAISON TO CREATE BETTER COORDINATION, COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION BETWEEN RURAL AND SMALL COMMUNITY MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL ENTITIES AND LOCAL, COUNTY, STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES.
