WITH OTHER THREE DECADES OF EXCELLENCE ROOTED IN SOUND BUSINESS PRACTICES, WE CREATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO INTEGRATE PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES INTO THE WORKFORCE. WE HAVE OVER 1,300 EMPLOYEES IN TWELVE STATES INCLUDING WASHINGTON DC. VETERANS WITH SERVICE CONNECTED DISABILITIES ACCOUNT FOR OVER A THIRD OF OUR WORKFORCE. AT THE BEGINNING OF 2019, WE PURCHASED AN AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING FACILITY TO EXPAND THE EMPLOYMENT OF VETERANS IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

SKOOKUM PROVIDES A WIDE ARRAY OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INCLUDING FOOD SERVICE, CUSTODIAL, GROUNDS MAINTENANCE, SECURITY AND RECYCLING SERVICES. CUSTOMERS INCLUDE JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST AND JEFFERSON COUNTY. SKOOKUM ALSO PROVIDES TOTAL FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR NAVAL AIR STATION WHIDBEY, FORT LEE IN VIRGINIA, WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE IN NEW MEXICO, CURTIS BAY SHIPYARD IN MARYLAND AND THE NAVAL ACOUSTIC RESEARCH LABORATORY IN BAYVIEW, IDAHO ALONG WITH THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH IN POOLESVILLE, MD AND A LOGISTIC PROJECT SERVING THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE IN CENTRAL VIRGINIA. THESE SKOOKUM PROJECTS PROVIDE HOLISTIC MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (PUBLIC WORKS) SERVICES. THIS INCLUDES ELECTRICAL, HVAC, CARPENTRY, PLUMBING, PAINTING AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS TRADES. SKOOKUM CONTINUES TO EXPAND THE USE OF MAXIMO, A SOPHISTICATED WORK ORDER DRIVEN COMPUTER MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SYSTEM, BY INVESTING IN THE TECHNOLOGY TO INTEGRATE MAXIMO INTO HAND HELD MOBILE DEVICES THAT WERE PLACED IN THE HANDS OF SKOOKUM FACILITIES MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES. SKOOKUM'S INVESTMENT IN MAXIMO INCREASED THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE FACILITIES MAINTENANCE BUSINESS LINE AND ALLOWED SKOOKUM TO DELIVER EVEN BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.
SKOOKUM PROVIDES A VARIETY OF LOGISTICS SERVICES TO OUR CUSTOMERS. SKOOKUM OPERATES THREE CENTRAL ISSUE FACILITIES (CIFS) FOR THE U.S. ARMY, ONE AT JBLM, WA, ONE AT FORT HOOD, TX AND ANOTHER AT JBLE, VIRGINIA. THESE OPERATIONS REQUIRE SKOOKUM TO MANAGE OVER 300,000 SF OF WAREHOUSE SPACE HOUSING ORGANIZATIONAL CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT (OCIE) FOR U.S. SOLDIERS. SKOOKUM EMPLOYEES MAINTAIN INVENTORY CONTROL OF OVER $650 MILLION DOLLARS OF OCIE. ADDITIONALLY, SKOOKUM EMPLOYEES PROVIDE MATERIAL HANDLING SUPPORT FOR SHIP BOARD PROJECTS AT THE PUGET SOUND NAVAL SHIPYARD. SKOOKUM ALSO OPERATES THE DIRECTORATE OF LOGISTICS (DOL) CONTRACT AT FORT MEADE, MARYLAND. IN SUPPORT OF THE FORT MEADE DOL CONTRACT AND THE JBLE LOGISTICS CONTRACT, SKOOKUM OPERATES THE INSTALLATION SUPPLY SUPPORT ACTIVITY (SSA), WHERE SKOOKUM EMPLOYEES ORDER, RECEIVE, STORE AND ISSUE MATERIAL ORDERED BY GARRISON PERSONNEL. ALSO AS PART OF THE MEADE DOL CONTRACT, SKOOKUM EMPLOYEES PROVIDE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICES AND REPAIR GARRISON VEHICLES, INCLUDING HEAVY DIESEL PUBLIC WORKS EQUIPMENT, EMERGENCY RESPONSE VEHICLES AND TACTICAL WHEELED VEHICLES.
SKOOKUM PROVIDED FLEET MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF GOVERNMENT AND COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS. SKOOKUM MAINTAINS AND REPAIRS OVER 1,000 GSA VEHICLES LOCATED AT FORT RILEY, KANSAS. SKOOKUM ALSO MAINTAINED AND REPAIRED TACTICAL WHEELED VEHICLES LOCATED AT JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD AND FORT MEADE MARYLAND. SKOOKUM ALSO MAINTAINS THE VEHICLE FLEET AT THE NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY IN WASHINGTON, D.C., AND SKOOKUM PROVIDES VEHICLE MAINTENANCE SERVICES TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY IN TENNESSEE AND NOW ARKANSAS.
SKOOKUM ENTERED THE AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY IN 2019, IN 2020 WE ON BOARDED TWO OEMS, BOTH IN THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY, AND ALSO ADDED 5-AXIS MACHINING CAPABILITY TO OUR PRODUCT MIX. SKOOKUM PROVIDED HOSPITAL HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES FOR NAVAL HOSPITAL BREMERTON AND JEFFERSON COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL, A TOTAL OF OVER 500,000 SF OF MEDICAL CLINICS, OPERATING ROOMS, EMERGENCY ROOMS, MOTHER INFANT CARE CENTERS, ETC. SKOOKUM EMPLOYEES ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE INFECTION CONTROL EFFORTS IN THESE MEDICAL FACILITIES.
