ORCHESTRA MEMBERS ATTENDED THE MERCER ISLAND ORCHESTRA FESTIVAL, THE WESTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY ASTA EVENT, WHERE THE SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA PLACED THIRD, AND THE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA PLACED SECOND. THE MEMBERS ALSO ATTENDED THE STATE SOLO AND ENSEMBLE COMPETITION WHERE THE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA RECEIVED A SUPERIOR RANKING. IN MARCH, 65 STUDENTS AND 20 CHAPERONES WENT TO NEW YORK CITY WHERE THE ORCHESTRA PLAYED A CONCERT IN CARNEGIE HALL ON MARCH 26TH. WHILE IN NEW YORK,ORCHESTRA MEMBERS TOURED ELLIS ISLAND AND THE STATUE OF LIBERTY, THE 911 MEMORIAL AND ATTENDED A PERFORMANCE OF HAMILTON ON BROADWAY.
