DURING THE COVID INTERVAL FROM 2020 TO 2022, A MAJOR REWRITE OF THE BYLAWS AND STANDING RULES WAS ACCOMPLISHED. THEY WERE MADE GENDER NEUTRAL, MORE FRIENDLY TO SELECTING NEW MEMBERS AND IMPROVED JOB DESCRIPTIONS OF THE OFFICERS. A NEW MISSION/VISION STATEMENT REFLECTING THE PRACTICE OF OB/GYN IN THE 21ST CENTURY WAS APPROVED. THESE CHANGES WERE PRESENTED BOTH IN WRITING 2 MONTHS BEFORE AND DURING THE BUSINESS MEETING THEY WERE READ, VOTED UPON AND PASSED. WITH THE CHANGING DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE SOCIETY, A NEW COMMITTEE WAS CREATED TO ADDRESS NEW AND OLD MEMBERSHIP CONCERNS. THIS WILL IMPROVE MEMBER RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION.
