COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS THE BRANCH AWARDED TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS TO FOUR COLLEGE STUDENTS, IN FINANCIAL NEED, WHO ATTEND WA PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES OR B.A.S. PROGRAMS AT THE THREE SEATTLE DISTRICT COLLEGES. THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS ARE INTENDED TO ENABLE THE STUDENTS TO CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES AND EARN THEIR BACHELORS DEGREES.

STEM SCHOLAR RECOGNITION THE BRANCH HONORED 33 HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR WOMEN FROM 11 SCHOOLS FOR THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS IN MATH, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF ENCOURAGING THEM TO CONTINUE THEIR STEM STUDIES AS THEY MOVE ON TO COLLEGE AND CAREERS.


TECH TREK THE BRANCH SPONSORED 12 INCOMING 8TH GRADE GIRLS TO ATTEND A WEEK-LONG STEM CAMP HELD ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO EXPOSE GIRLS TO THE WIDE VARIETY OF POTENTIAL CAREER FIELDS WHICH WILL UTILIZE THEIR EDUCATION IN THESE AREAS, AS WELL AS TO GIVE THEM A LEG UP ON THEIR STUDIES.
