STEM SCHOLAR RECOGNITION THE BRANCH HONORED 43 HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR AND SENIOR WOMEN FOR THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS IN MATH, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF ENCOURAGING THEM TO CONTINUE THEIR STEM STUDIES AS THEY MOVE ON TO COLLEGE AND CAREERS.


COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS THE BRANCH AWARDED TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS TO THREE COLLEGE STUDENTS, IN FINANCIAL NEED, WHO ATTEND WA PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES OR B.A.S. PROGRAMS AT THE THREE SEATTLE DISTRICT COLLEGES. THE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS ARE INTENDED TO ENABLE THE STUDENTS TO CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES AND EARN THEIR BACHELORS DEGREES.


AAUW GREATEST NEEDS FUND THE BRANCH CONDUCTED A VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER, ENCOURAGING OUR MEMBERS TO CONTRIBUTE PERSONALLY, AND THE BRANCH CONTRIBUTED BY MATCHING THOSE DOLLARS AND CONTRIBUTING EVEN MORE FROM OUR OWN FUNDS. THE GREATEST NEEDS FUND ALLOWS AAUW INC TO RESPOND RAPIDLY, IN ITS COMMUNICATIONS AND ADVOCACY, TO CRITICAL ISSUES AFFECTING WOMEN AS THEY EMERGE.
