THE MBFAA SPONSORS AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES 4 SEMESTERS OF CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION WITH HANDS ON LABS AND 8,000 HOURS OF ON THE JOB TRAINING (OJT) AT THE EMPLOYEE'S COMPANY. THE PROGRAM'S 12 PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE CREDIT HOURS TOWARDS A DEGREE, A COMPLETION CERTIFICATE FROM THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION, AND A CERTIFICATE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR THAT THE APPRENTICE HAS COMPLETED THE NATIONALLY APPROVED APPRENTICE PROGRAM. THIS CERTIFICATE IS TRANSFERABLE TO OTHER STATES PARTICIPATING IN THE NATIONAL APPRENTICE PROGRAM AND SIGNED BY THE US SECRETARY OF LABOR.
