RAISING TEXAS TEACHERS - A STATEWIDE INITIATIVE AIMED AT ENSURING EVERY STUDENT IN TEXAS HAS ACCESS TO AN EFFECTIVE TEACHER BY ELEVATING THE STATUS OF THE TEACHING PROFESSION, IMPROVING TEACHER PREPARATION, AND PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO ASPIRING TEACHERS.
BLENDED LEARNING PROGRAM - AN INITIATIVE SHOWCASING BLENDEDLEARNING STRATEGIES FOR IMPROVING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT ACROSSDIVERSE STUDENT DEMOGRAPHICS AND GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS INTEXAS, PARTICULARLY AMONG DISTRICTS WITH PERSISTENT ACHIEVEMENT GAPS. THROUGH A STATEWIDE COMPETITIVE APPLICATION PROCESS, TWENTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TEAMS HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO RECEIVE UP TO $300,000 TO IMPLEMENT A BLENDED LEARNING PROGRAM. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE INTENSIVE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OVER THREE YEARS TO HELP IMPLEMENT THE BLENDED LEARNING PLANS.
TEXAS LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM - THE LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM IS ANINTENSE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE ON PUBLICEDUCATION WITH LOCAL, STATE, NATIONAL AND GLOBAL EMPHASIS.THE EXPERIENCE IS INTERACTIVE AND MOTIVATIONAL, AND ITDELIVERS THE LATEST DATA, BEST PRACTICES, AND MOSTINNOVATIVE CONCEPTS IN THE WORLD OF PUBLIC EDUCATION TODAY.THE SYMPOSIUM INSPIRES ATTENDEES TO BROADEN THEIR SCOPE OFINFLUENCE BEYOND THEIR CAMPUS AND TO PUSH THEIR THINKING ANDPRACTICE BEYOND ITS CURRENT STATE.
