OUR MISSION IS TO "ENHANCE EDUCATION" AT NEW CANEY ISD THROUGH TEACHER GRANTS. WE INVEST IN TEACHERS AND THEIR BIG IDEAS THROUGH AN ONLINE GRANT APPLICATION FOR ITEMS, EXPERIENCES AND TOOLS FROM 500-5,000. EDUCATION CREATES OPPORTUNITIES AND SUPPORTS THE DISTRICT'S GOAL THAT NCISD GRADUATES BE EQUIPPED TO THRIVE IN THE REALITY OF THEIR FUTURE. ITEMS FUNDED THROUGH THE NEW CANEY ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION TOUCH THOUSANDS OF LIVES, CREATE ONGOING VALUE, KEEP KIDS ENGAGED AND TOUCH THEIR HEARTS. OUR EFFORTS ARE SUPPORTED BY EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTION, AN ANNUAL LUNCHEON,EXTERNAL GRANTS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT.

WE WANT TO MAKE SCHOOL THE BEST EIGHT HOURS OF A KID'S DAY. WHILE TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR TEACHERS SALARIES AND BOND MONIES PAY FOR BUILDINGS, THE NEW CANEY ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION AWARDS TEACHER GRANTS TO PROVIDE THE EXTRAS. WE TOUCH OUR KIDS HEARTS BY AWARDING A VARIETY OF ITEMS FROM TACTILE ITEMS FOR HANDS-ON LEARNING, PROFESSIONAL GRADE EQUIPMENT FOR CAREER PREPAREDNESS AND EXPERIENCES TO KEEP THE LOVE OF LEARNING ALIVE. THE MAJORITY OF GRANTS FUNDED HAVE ONGOING AND FAR-REACHING VALUE, TOUCHING EVERY CAMPUS IN THE DISTRICT.
