REGULATORY AND SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS: THE REGULATORY AND SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS (RSA) GROUP LEADS NAMI'S INTERACTIONS WITH A VARIETY OF REGULATORY AGENCIES, INCLUDING THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION, THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION, AMONG OTHERS. RSA HELPS MEMBERS ON ISSUES RELATED TO MEAT AND POULTRY INSPECTIONS AND INTERACTS WITH USDA AND FDA ABOUT REGULATORY INITIATIVES. RSA ALSO HELPS MANAGE NAMI'S FOUNDATION FOR MEAT AND POULTRY RESEARCH AND EDUCATION (FMPRE).

PROTEIN PACT: PROTEIN PACT UNITES THE ENTIRE ANIMAL PROTEIN VALUE CHAIN TO CREATE THE FIRST-EVER AGGREGATED INDUSTRY DATA COLLECTION PLATFORM AND A LONG-TERM, COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNICATIONS PLAN TO MEASURE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF THE ANIMAL PROTEIN INDUSTRY'S PROGRESS FOR THE PEOPLE, ANIMALS, AND CLIMATE OF TOMORROW. THROUGH PROTEIN PACT, NAMI IS MEASURING THE PROGRESS OF NORTH AMERICAN MEATPACKING AND PROCESSING FACILITIES AND ENGAGING AND PARTNERING WITH INTERNATIONAL FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATIONS TO SHOW ANIMAL PROTEIN'S CRITICAL ROLE IN NUTRIENT-DENSE, SUSTAINABLE DIETS AND GLOBAL FOOD SECURITY.
