Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THIS WAS OUR WORK WITH CULTURES UNITED FC TO RUN OUR CLR PROGRAM. WE ALSO SUPPORTED CULTURES UNITED FC WITH AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND T-SHIRTS FOR THEIR YOUTH WHO PARTICIPATED. THESE WERE FOR AT-RISK YOUTH IN THE WHITE CENTER HEIGHTS AREA OF SOUTH SEATTLE. MANY OF THESE CHILDREN DO NOT HAVE SPACE PLACES TO GO AFTER SCHOOL NOR A CONSISTENT SUPPLY OF NUTRITIOUS FOOD. OUR PROGRAMMING AIMED TO ALLEVIATE THESE ISSUES AND HELP MAKE A BETTER CHILDHOOD FOR THESE KIDS.
THIS WAS OUR GRANT TO THE MIGHTY OAK PROJECT INC. WHO CREATED THE ORIGINAL CLR ACADEMY PROGRAM THAT WE THEN LICENSED AND USED THEIR EXPERTISE TO DEPLOY IN SOUTH SEATTLE.
WE PROVIDED MULTIPLE FREE YOUTH CAMPS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE YMCA OF SEATTLE AND OTHER STANDALONE CLINICS FOR YOUTH IN THE AREA. ALL OF THESE PROGRAMS WERE FREE FOR YOUTH TO ENJOY, THUS OUR ONLY EXPENSES WERE FOR PAYING OUR COACHES WHO PUT THEM ON. THIS IS OUR SINGLE BIGGEST AREA OF FOCUS FOR 2024 AND GREATLY EXPANDING THIS PROGRAM, WHICH WE HAVE ALREADY DONE IN THE FALL OF 2023 AND WILL EVEN MORE SO IN 2024.
