THE NATIONAL SPECTRUM CONSORTIUM (NSC) IS A MISSION-DRIVEN NONPROFIT FOCUSED ON ADVANCED WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT IN THE U.S. NSC ACHIEVES THIS VISION BY FACILITATING HIGH-VALUE R&D AND PROTOTYPING PROJECTS DESIGNED TO SOLVE SPECTRUM CHALLENGES THAT CUT ACROSS MULTIPLE INDUSTRY SECTORS, FIELDS OF RESEARCH, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES. NSC IS UNIQUELY ABLE TO FOCUS THE RESOURCES OF INDUSTRY, ACADEMIA, AND GOVERNMENT ON US WIRELESS LEADERSHIP THROUGH ITS OTA CONTRACT VEHICLE AND DIVERSE MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION OF OVER 300 COMPANIES AND RESEARCH GROUPS TO BENEFIT THESE MEMBERS AND THE ENTIRE WIRELESS ECOSYSTEM

NSC SUCCESSFULLY STOOD UP FINANCIAL, ADMINISTRATIVE,B54 AND PROGRAMMATIC OPERATIONS FOR THE 300-MEMBER CONSORTIUM INDEPENDENT OF ITS PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH A CONSORTIUM MANAGEMENT FIRM. THIS INVOLVED IMPLEMENTING NEW IT SYSTEMS, DEVELOPING A WEBSITE, HIRING STAFF, AND CREATING MANAGEMENT PROCESSES.
NSC HOSTED OVER 20 MEETINGS OF THE PATHSS WORKING GROUP, HELPING TO ADVISE DOD CIO AND OTHER FEDERAL STAKEHOLDERS ABOUT POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE WIRELESS SPECTRUM IN THE 3.1GHZ TO 3.45GHZ BAND. THESE MEETINGS INVOLVED DEEP INFORMATION SHARING AND COLLABORATION AMONG INDUSTRY AND FEDERAL PARTNERS.
