THE MISSION OF THE NEVADA STATE COLLEGE FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS TO SERVE AS AMBASSADORS FOR NEVADA STATE COLLEGE, TO SERVE AS FIDUCIARY STEWARDS OF FUNDS RECEIVED BY THE FOUNDATION, AND TO RAISE FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF THE EDUCATIONAL, TECHNOLOGY, OPERATIONAL, FACILITY AND RESEARCH NEEDS OF THE STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF OF THE COLLEGE.

RAISED FUNDS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NEEDY AND DESERVING STUDENTS. APPROXIMATELY 50% OF NSC STUDENT BODY ARE THE FIRST-GENERATION IN THEIR FAMILIES TO EVER ATTEND AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING; APPROXIMATELY 48% ARE FROM CULTURALLY DIVERSE POPULATIONS. BOTH OF THESE TYPES OF STUDENTS NEED MORE HELP THAN USUAL BECAUSE OF STATE CUTBACKS AND TUITION INCREASES.
