Part 3
DURING THE YEAR OF 2022, HEALING HANDS HAS ACCOMPLISHED MANY OF THE ORGANIZATIONS GOALS. THE MISSION OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE AND AFFORDABLE PROGRAM IN SALT LAKE CITY FOR CHILDREN TO TRAIN MARTIAL ARTS, MOVEMENT,AND SELF-DEFENSE. HEALING HANDS OFFERS A CERTIFIED USA WRESTLING PROGRAM, BOXING, JIUJITSU, YOGA, AND OTHER MOVEMENT ARTS SUCH AS GYMNASTICS. MEDITATION AND BREATHWORK ARE ALSO AT THE CORE OF OUR EFFORTS. OUR TRAININGS SERVE AS PREVENTATIVE EFFORTS TO COMBAT AGAINST BULLYING AND ABUSE TOWARDS CHILDREN. THE PRINCIPLES OF MARTIAL ARTS ALSO TEACH SELF-CONFIDENCE AND SELF-RESPECT. SINCE LAUNCHING THIS ORGANIZATION ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH THE YEAR OF 2022, HEALING HANDS HAS ALREADY POSITIVELY IMPACTED SO MANY CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY. HEALING HANDS HAD MANY SUCCESSES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR OF 2022. DURING THE SUMMER OF 2022, HEALING HANDS HOSTED PLAY STATIONS EVERY FRIDAY AT THE MILLCREEK COMMONS COMMUNITY CENTER, FREE OF CHARGE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. STUDENTS WHO WANTED TO PARTICIPATED BEGAN THE CLASS WITH MEDITATION AND BREATHWORK THEN TRANSITIONED INTO MOVEMENT AND LEARNING SELF-DEFENSE TECHNIQUES. HEALING HANDS HAS ALSO BEEN ABLE TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS AT LOCAL MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING GYMS IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH OUT ITS ENTIRE EXISTENCE. THIS IS ONE OF OUR MAIN GOALS AS WE NEVER WANT A CHILD TO NOT BE ABLE TO TRAIN. HEALING HANDS ALSO RAN THE OLYMPUS YOUTH WRESTLING PROGRAM, WITH OVER 70 STUDENTS.
