IN 2021, HOME TO STAY MINNEAPOLIS WORKED WITH A COALITION OF RENTERS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO EDUCATE VOTERS ABOUT A CHANGE TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS TO ALLOW FOR A RENT STABILIZATION POLICY WHICH WAS ON THE BALLOT. HOME TO STAY SUPPORTED TEN ORGANIZATIONS AND ONE HUNDRED PEOPLE TO TAKE ACTION TO SUPPORT A CHANGE TO THE CHARTER. THE CHARTER AMENDMENT PASSED, WHICH WILL ALLOW FOR A POLICY TO PROTECT RENTERS, IMPACTING 200,000 PEOPLE IN MINNEAPOLIS.
