STEAM PROGRAM:AN EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP PROGRAM DESIGNED TO CONNECT THE SPORT OF SOCCER WITH VARIOUS SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, AND MATHEMATICS OBJECTIVES THAT ARE BEING LEARNED IN THE CLASSROOM. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE TANGIBLE, HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE RELATING THESE OBJECTIVES IN THE REAL WORLD, SPECIFICALLY THE WORLD OF SOCCER AND THE OPERATIONS BEHIND THE SPORT.
FIELD AND COMMUNITY CENTER DEVELOPMENT:BUILDING NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART, WELL-LIT, TURF SOCCER FIELDS IN LOW SOCIO-ECONOMIC AREAS. THESE FIELDS PROVIDE SAFE PLAYING ENVIRONMENTS AND FACILITATE ACTIVE LIFESTYLES IN LOCAL YOUTH. THE FIELDS SERVE TO BENEFIT HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN ACROSS THE WIDER DALLAS COMMUNITY ON A YEAR-ROUND BASIS.
SCOTT DYMOND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: WITH SUPPORT FROM CORPORATE PARTNERS COSERV, GALLAGHER, CHICK-FIL-A, AND UMB BANK, FC DALLAS FOUNDATION OFFERED A COMBINED TOTAL OF $30,000 IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO 8 FC DALLAS YOUTH SENIORS. EACH GRANT RECIPIENT RECEIVED EITHER A $2,500 OR $5,000 SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE FC DALLAS FOUNDATION. THE INTENTION OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS IS TO HELP PROVIDE YOUNG PEOPLE AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE HIGHER EDUCATION. AWARDS WERE GRANTED TO ATHLETES BASED ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, CITIZENSHIP, LEADERSHIP, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH, PARTNERSHIPS & GRANTS:FC DALLAS FOUNDATION USES RESOURCES DONATED FROM A VARIETY OF SOURCES TO PROMOTE THE FOUNDATION'S PROGRAMS IN THE COMMUNITY. THE FOUNDATION ALSO ESTABLISHES PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER NON-PROFIT GROUPS THAT SEEK TO BENEFIT YOUTH THROUGH FURTHER EDUCATIONAL AND/OR RECREATIONAL PROGRAMMING IN THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH METROPLEX.
