A PARENT/GUARDIAN VOLUNTARILY PLACES THEIR CHILDREN WITH A SAFE, LOVING, AND SCREENED VOLUNTEER HOST FAMILY TO KEEP THEM SAFE DURING A PARENT-DRIVEN CRISIS. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE FAMILY AND HOST FAMILY IS CENTRAL TO OUR MINISTRY, CREATING A SAFE HAVEN FOR CHILDREN AND A SUPPORT NETWORK FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS. A FAMILY COACH WALKS ALONGSIDE THE PARENT/GUARDIAN THAT IS IN CRISIS AND ALSO SUPPORTS THE HOST FAMILY DURING THE HOSTING. AFTER THE HOSTING ENDS, THE HOPE IS THAT THE 2 FAMILIES REMAIN IN RELATIONSHIP, FURTHER REDUCING SOCIAL ISOLATION AND PROVIDING EXTENDED FAMILY-LIKE SUPPORT. NEW MERCIES SUPPORTED 245 HOSTINGS IN 2021 WHICH SUPPORTED 82 CHILDREN IN 46 FAMILIES.
