PROVIDES A SAFE SPACE FOR BLACK WOMEN TO MANAGE THEIR MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH THROUGH BREATHWORK AND COMMUNITY

- PROVIDED OVER 2,300 NO COST SLOTS AND REDUCTED OST SLOTS FOR PARTICIPANTS - THE #TAKETHEPLEDGE CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED IN DECEMBER PROVIDED FREE MENTAL HEALTH TOOLKITS TO 1,354 BLACK WOMEN REACHED. THIS PROGRAM ENCOURAGES BLACK WOMEN TO TAKE ONE STEP TO ADDRESS AND CARE FOR THEIR MENTAL HEALTH. THE TOOLKIT PROVIDES BREATHWORK VIDEO AND AUDIO MEDITATIONS TO PRACTICE DAILY TOOLS THAT LESSEN CHRONIC STRESS AND ANXIETY, JOURNAL PROMPTS TO REFLECT ON PAST TRAUMATIC EVENTS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED, MENTAL HEALTH 24/7 HOTLINE RESOURCES FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT OUTSIDE OF THE BLACK GIRLS BREATHING SESSIONS. THIS PROGRAM ALSO SPREADS AWARENESS OF THE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES THAT PARTICULARLY AFFECT BLACK WOMEN AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO ADDRESS THEIR MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES.- BREATHWORK FACILITATORS WERE TRAINED AND HIRED TO HELP LEAD BREATHWORK CIRCLES. 2 LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPISTS WERE HIRED TO HELP ASSIST BLACK WOMEN PARTICIPANTS EXPERIENCING EXTREME TRAUMA, GRIEF, SADNESS, ANXIETY, STRESS AND DEPRESSION.
