THE FOUNDATION IS A MULTI-SPECIALTY PHYSICIAN FOUNDATION WITH A PRIMARY GOAL OF FOSTERING PHYSICIAN COLLABORATION TO DELIVER ADVANCED PEDIATRIC CARE. THE SPECIFIC AND PRIMARY PURPOSES OF THE FOUNDATION ARE TO PERFORM AND CARRY OUT CHARITABLE HEALTH FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSES BY CONDUCTING THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: (1) ESTABLISHING, OPERATING AND MAINTAINING MEDICAL CLINICS FOR THE PROVISION OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES IN CALIFORNIA, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISION OF SECTION 1206(1) OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE; (2) PROMOTING HEALTH BY PROVIDING, COORDINATING, INTEGRATING, AND FACILITATING HEALTHCARE, MEDICAL AND WELLNESS SERVICES FOR CHILDREN; (3) CONDUCTING, SPONSORING AND SUPPORTING MEDICAL RESEARCH, MEDICAL EDUCATION, AND HEALTH EDUCATION; AND (4) ENGAGING IN ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES PERMITTED FOR A CORPORATION ORGANIZED UNDER THE NONPROFIT PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATION LAW.THE FOUNDATION CONTRACTS WITH PEDIATRIC MULTISPECIALTY MEDICAL GROUP ("PMMG") TO PROVIDE PHYSICIAN SERVICES. PMMG EMPLOYS APPROXIMATELY 68 PHYSICIANS WHO PRIMARILY WORK IN BCH-O CLINICS AND AT BCH-O. BEGINNING IN JANUARY 2015, THE FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH BAY CHILDREN'S MEDICAL GROUP (BCMG). DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021, BCMG EMPLOYED 35 PHYSICIANS WHO SPLIT TIME BETWEEN BCH-O CLINICS AND COMMUNITYBASED OFFICES.
