IN 2021 REACH OUT AND READ DELIVERED IN MORE THAN 256,500 "DOSES" AT WELL CHILD VISITS IN 326 COLORADO CLINICS ACROSS ALL COLORADO COUNTIES, DELIVERING A NEW, DEVELOPMENTALLY- AND LANGUAGE- APPROPRIATE BOOK AND ANTICIPATORY GUIDANCE TO THE FAMILIES OF APPROXIMATELY 128,274 CHILDREN AGES FIVE AND UNDER, AS DELIVERED BY THE 2,019 HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TRAINED IN THE PROGRAM, AS WELL AS THE CLINICAL STAFF SUPPORTING THEM. TOGETHER, THEY REPRESENT MORE THAN 43,100 VOLUNTEER HOURS SPENT DELIVERING THIS EARLY LITERACY INTERVENTION IN A PROFESSIONAL HEALTHCARE SETTING TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WITH THE HIGHEST NEED. IN 2021, APPROXIMATELY 71% OF CHILDREN SERVED COME FROM FAMILIES EXPERIENCING POVERTY.
