IN 2018, WE ORGANIZED, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION ECHO WEST AFRICA, A FORUM ON SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE. THIS FORUM WAS ATTENDED BY 67 PEOPLE FROM THE VARIOUS CITIES IN GUINEA. AT LEAST 20 WOMEN FARMERS FROM FAF RECEIVED THE NECESSARY TRAINING FOR QUALITY ORGANIC PRODUCTION. THESE IMPROVED FARMING TECHNIQUES WILL HELP THE WOMEN PRODUCE HEALTHIER FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FOR SALE AND CONSUMPTION. IN EDUCATION, WE SPONSORED 22 CHILDREN, WITH EMPHASIS ON GIRLS (17) WHO WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND SCHOOL WITHOUT OUR SUPPORT. THE SPONSORSHIPS INCLUDED SCHOOL FEES, UNIFORMS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND FOOD. EACH CHILD IN THE PROGRAM IS MONITORED AND MENTORED. THE SOAP-MAKING AND SEWING PROJECTS ARE BEING RE-EVALUATED DUE TO THE HIGH DEMAND AND LIMITED FUNDING AVAILABLE. WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SMALL MONETARY DONATIONS TO SIX (6) HOMELESS WOMEN SHELTERS IN ATLANTA GA. WE ALSO PROVIDE PRIORITY ITEMS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, LIKE SOAP, COMBS, BRUSHES, PILLOWS, TOWELS, BABY BAGS, DIAPERS, CLEANING SUPPLIES AND PERSONAL CARE ITEMS.
