NEWTOWN HELPS PEOPLE IMPROVE THEIR FINANCIAL WELL-BEING WHILE STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES THROUGH EDUCATION, COUNSELING, COACHING AND THE DEVELOPMENT AND STEWARDSHIP OF PERMENENTLY AFFORDABLE HOMES.

HOME BUYER ASSISTANCE/HOUSING COUNSELING- OVER 2,400 HOUSEHOLDS HAVE COMPLETED A NEWTOWN WORKSHOP AND OVER 909 HAVE PURCHASED A HOME. SINCE STARTING TO PROVIDE DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE, 517 LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED OVER $8.4 MILLION IN MATCHING FUNDS TOWARD BUYING THEIR FIRST HOME.
COMMUNITY LAND TRUST - NEWTOWN IS ALSO WELL-KNOWN FOR ITS COMMUNITY LAND TRUST (CLT) WHICH IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERMANENT HOMES THAT PROVIDE HOMEOWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITES FOR GENERATIONS OF LOWER INCOME FAMILIES. CREATED IN 2001, NEWTOWNS CLT IS THE LARGEST IN ARIZONA AND INCLUDES OVER 200 HOMES THROUGHOUT MARICOPA COUNTY. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022 NEWTOWN DEVELOPED 21 UNITS OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
