PEORIA DIAMOND CLUB SUPPORTS THE FUNCTION OF THE CITY OF PEORIA THROUGH THE (SEE SCHEDULE O) MANAGEMENT OF THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE PEORIA SPORTS COMPLEX, WHICH IS HOME TO MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL SPRING TRAINING AND OTHER IMPORTANT COMMUNITY EVENTS. THROUGH THIS WORK, WE RAISE FUNDS FOR NORTHWEST VALLEY YOUTH CHARITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH EXTENSIVE VOLUNTEER EFFORTS. THE PEORIA DIAMOND CLUB AND ITS MEMBERS ARE DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING THE MANY WONDERFUL COMMUNITY PROGRAMS THAT EDUCATE AND ENRICH OUR CHILDREN'S LIVES WHILE ENHANCING THEIR FUTURES.

THE PEORIA DIAMOND CLUB MANAGED THE MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL SPRING TRAINING SEASON OPERATION AT THE PEORIA SPORTS COMPLEX ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PEORIA. SPRING TRAINING IS AN IMPORTANT ACTIVITY THAT PROVIDES SIGNIFICANT ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL BENEFITS TO THE AREA. DURING THE YEAR, 32 GAMES WERE HELD WITH APPROXIMATELY 212,000 IN ATTENDANCE.


THE PEORIA DIAMOND CLUB ATTRACTS, PROMOTES AND PARTICIPATES IN OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS IN PEORIA ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PEORIA AND OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. FUNDS RAISED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FROM EVENTS INCLUDING THE FOODSTOCK FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL AND SAVANNAH BANANA EVENT, AS WELL AS THE NET PROCEEDS FROM THE RAFFLE, ARE DONATED TO LOCAL YOUTH CHARITIES AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO PROMOTE YOUTH ACTIVITIES, EDUCATION, AND OTHER CHARITABLE NEEDS.
