INVESTING IN KNOWLEDGE. THE CHARITY INTENDS TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS IN NEW YORK CITY TO FURTHER IMPROVE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND OUTCOMES FOR STUDENTS IN NEW YORK CITY. ONE OF THE KEY WAYS THE CHARITY INTENDS TO FURTHER THIS CHARITABLE PURPOSE IS BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS, PROGRAMS, AND SCHOOLS TO ACCOMPLISH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CITYWIDE PROGRAM DESIGNED TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE, UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO COMPUTER SCIENCE EDUCATION TO PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM AT EACH SCHOOL LEVEL (ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL) BY YEAR 2025. AS PART OF THIS WORK, THE CHARITY WILL HOST A COMPUTER SCIENCE OPPORTUNITY FAIR, AN EVENT TO INTRODUCE PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS TO OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO THEM IN THE TECH WORKPLACE AND IN HIGHER EDUCATION. THE CHARITY WILL SEEK SPONSORSHIPS TO UNDERWRITE THE FAIR'S EXPENSES.IN ADDITION, THE CHARITY INTENDS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL EDUCATORS IN NEW YORK CITY TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. FOR EXAMPLE, THE CHARITY PLANS TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO TEACHERS IN THE NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM TO SUPPORT THE TUITION OF THESE SELECT TEACHERS TO ATTEND TRAINING COURSES AT VARIOUS SELECT PROGRAMS AND UNIVERSITIES IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA. WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SELECTING DIVERSE CANDIDATES, THESE SCHOLARSHIPS WILL ALLOW EDUCATORS TO FURTHER IMPROVE THEIR TOOLS AND SKILLS IN TEACHING AND MENTORING PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NEW YORK CITY.
EXPANDING CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES. GOTHAM GIVES INVESTS IN ART ORGANIZATIONS AND THOSE THAT EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR OPEN SPACE.
EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITIES. THE CHARITY PLANS TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT FURTHER THE CHARITY'S EXEMPT PURPOSES OF SUPPORTING PROGRAMS THAT BENEFIT THE NEEDIEST NEW YORKERS, INVESTING IN EFFORTS AND PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE GENDER AND RACIAL EQUITY.
