Part 3
CRAZY GOOD LEAD A HYBRID IN-PERSON/ON-LINE SUPPORT GROUP FOR WOMEN WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM THE AFFECTS OF EMOTIONAL AND/OR NARCISSISTIC ABUSE. GROUP MEETINGS WHERE HELD WEEKLY AND LED BY A PEER ADVISOR WHO HAD EXPERIENCED 37 YEARS OF EMOTIONAL ABUSE, BEEN THROUGH VERY SELF RECOVERY PROGRAMS, AND WORKING ON A CERTIFICATE FOR TRAUMA TRAINING. AT EACH SESSION A NEW TOPIC WAS INTRODUCED AND DISCUSSED WITH ALL INDIVIDUALS. SOME TOPICS WERE EDUCATION ON THE DYNAMICS OF THE ABUSE CYCLE AND DETAILS THE EXPERIENCED, AND SOME TOPICS WERE FOCUSED ON EXERCISES TO TAKE TO HEAL AND MOVE FORWARD IN RECOVERY. THE MATERIALS COME FROM RESOURCES FROM ON-LINE COACHES, DOCTORS, AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS AND NON-PROFESSIONALS. CREDIT IS GIVEN FOR EACH SOURCE INOUR MEETINGS AND SOMETIMES WE WATCH RELATED VIDEOS TO DISCUSS AS WELL. THE BENEFITS EXPERIENCED BY THOSE PARTICIPATING INCLUDE FEELINGS OF RELIEF THAT OTHERS UNDERSTAND AND THEY ARE NOT ALONE. FEELINGS OF VALIDATION THAT WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH WAS REAL, AS OTHERS HAVE GONE THROUGH VERY SIMILAR SCENARIOS. THEY ALSO START FEELING HOPEFUL THAT THEIR LIFE IS GOING TO BE FREE FROM THE NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF THE CONTROL AND MANIPULATIONS THEY HAD BEEN SUBJECTED TO FOR YEARS, SOMETIMES DECADES. WE HAVE RECEIVED SOME VERY POSITIVE FEEDBACK. 2021 DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF MEMBERS BUT THOSE IT WAS ABLE TO TOUCH, WERE APPRECIATIVE.
