THE CORCORAN WOMENS COMMITTEE (CWC) IS DEDICATED TO ADVANCING OUR KNOWLEDGE OF, AND SUPPORT FOR, ART AND ARTISTS AS WELL AS LOCAL ARTS INSTITUTIONS. WE ARE COMMITTED TO THE STUDY OF ART AND SUPPORT FOR FINE ARTS EDUCATION IN THE WASHINGTON DC AREA. TO THAT END, THE COMMITTEE HAS ESTABLISHED AN ANNUAL GRANT PROGRAM THAT ENCOURAGES, SPONSORS AND PROMOTES INDIVIDUAL VISUAL ARTISTS, THE FINE ARTS, AND ARTS EDUCATION IN THE WASHINGTON DC METROPOLITAN AREA. IT SEEKS TO PROMOTE ORGANIZATIONS PRODUCING INNOVATIVE WORK AND EMPLOYING HIGH CREATIVE STANDARDS.
