AS PART OF ITS CHARITABLE MISSION, THE FOUNDATION MAKES CONTRIBUTIONS TO CODE SECTION 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS DEDICATED TO CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, OR MEDICAL PURPOSES DEFINED IN CODE SECTION 170(B). THIS YEAR, SUCH GRANTS WERE ISSUED TO FIVE ORGANIZATIONS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SUPPORTING CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, THE FOUNDATION "ADOPTS" A FAMILY OR NUMBER OF FAMILIES IN NEED. THIS IS ORGANIZED THROUGH A 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION, AND THESE GRANTS TAKE THE FORM OF CHRISTMAS PRESENTS TO THE FAMILIES.
