Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
CREATE A PARTNERSHIP AMONG HOME, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY AND A NURTURING AND POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT SO THAT THE WORD 'SCHOOL' WILL HAVE ONLY THE MOST PLEASANT ASSOCIATIONS AND THE STUDENTS ARE EXCITED ABOUT LEARNING.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
JACKSON CHILDREN'S ACADEMY WAS PURCHASED IN JUNE OF 2020 WITH THE INTENT OF INVESTING THE REVENUE TO STRENGTHEN THE SCHOOL AND ENHANCE THE MINISTRY OF THE CHURCH WHERE THE SCHOOL IS LOCATED. THE UNCERTAINTY BROUGHT TO THE YEAR BY THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC PRESENTED MANY CHANGES FOR THE SCHOOL, BUT JCA FARED ECONOMICALLY WELL WHILE ACCOMPLISHING OUR GOAL OF SAFELY NURTURING AND EDUCATING 56 PRESCHOOL AGED CHILDREN. THE STUDENTS IN OUR PRESCHOOL ARE PROVIDED WITH LOVING CARE IN AN INTIMATE AND FUN ENVIRONMENT. THE STUDENT-TO-TEACHER RATIO HELPS US PROVIDE MORE ONE-ON-ONE OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP THE STUDENTS GROW AND PREPARE THEM FOR THEIR EDUCATIONAL CAREER. BEING A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ALLOWS US TO REINVEST OUR REVENUES INTO ENSURING THESE GOALS CAN CONTINUE.WE PLAN TO CREATE AN OUTDOOR SPACE TO ALLOW THE CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES THAT WILL HELP IMPROVE THEIR LARGE MOTOR SKILLS, DEVELOP LONG LASTING GOOD HEALTH, AND IMPROVE THEIR SELF-ESTEEM. THE PLAN FOR THIS OUTDOOR SPACE REQUIRES FUNDS BEYOND OUR CURRENT RESERVE FUNDS. WE PLAN TO MEET THE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS EFFORT THROUGH FINANCES BROUGHT IN BY CONTINUED SCHOOL OPERATIONS AND SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EFFORTS. WITH FUNDRAISING MONEY AND LARGE GRANTS RECEIVED, WE PURCHASED A PLAYGROUND, MADE MINOR REPAIRS INCLUDING FURNITURE AND RAISED STAFF WAGES. AS WE LOOK AHEAD TO 2022 AND BEYOND, OUR GOAL IS TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND, TOUCH OUR CHILDREN'S LIVES, AND STRENGTHEN THE FAMILIES AT JACKSON CHILDREN'S ACADEMY AND CROSSPOINT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.
