AUSTIN EMERGENCY SUPPLY FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO RESEARCH, OBTAIN AND DISTRIBUTE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SUPPLIES, SUCH AS MASKS, HOSPITAL GOWNS AND GLOVES, IN RESPONSE TO CONCERNS RELATING TO INSUFFICIENT SUPPLY AND AVAILABILITY OF THESE TYPES OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES IN THE AUSTIN, TEXAS AREA AND BEYOND DURING THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) PANDEMIC. AESF DISTRIBUTES MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO ORGANIZATIONS FOR USE BY HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS TREATING PATIENTS IN HEALTH CARE SETTINGS (SUCH AS HOSPITALS AND CLINICS), BY FIRST RESPONDERS, SUCH AS POLICE OFFICERS AND FIREFIGHTERS, GOVERNMENT WORKERS, SUCH AS CITY BUS DRIVERS, AND BY WORKERS IN OTHER CRITICAL SERVICE INDUSTRIES, TO PROTECT THESE INDIVIDUALS' HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, TO ALLOW THESE INDIVIDUALS TO SAFELY PERFORM THEIR JOBS, AND TO PROTECT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC AT LARGE DURING (COVID-19).

AUSTIN EMERGENCY SUPPLY FOUNDATION PROVIDES FREE MASKS TO SMALL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS IN AUSTIN THAT CANNOT AFFORD MASKS AND SELLS MASKS TO THOSE WHO CAN. WE HAVE HELPED PULL MILLIONS OF MASKS AND OTHER SUPPLIES ACROSS THE OCEAN AND INTO A DISTRIBUTION CENTER HERE IN AUSTIN. SOME OF THE MASKS HAD TO GO BY BOAT TO KOREA AND THEN AIRPLANE FROM THERE TO AUSTIN.
