L.I.F.T. WORKSHOPS - 'LIFE SKILLS FOR INMATES, FAMILIES, AND TRAINING" WE WORKED WITH 11 PRISONS IN NM PROVIDING ZOOM WORKSHOPS. WE PROVIDED POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS, AND WE WERE ABLE TO INTERACT WITH THE INMATES.
WINGS FOR LIFE(WFL)-HOSTED 43 LIVE ZOOM, FACEBOOK, AND YOUTUBE PROGRAMS THAT WERE WATCHED BY UP TO 500+ VIEWERS PER WEEK FROM ALL 50 STATES AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES. INMATES JOIN US WEEKLY FROM VARIOUS PRISONS, AND WE GET TO INTERACT WITH THEM, GO TO BREAKOUT ROOMS WITH THEM, AND ENCOURAGE AND TEACH THEM. WE OFFER SPECIAL FEATURES TO ACCOMPANY EACH PROGRAM INCLUDING A STORY READ BY OUR TUTORING COORDINATOR AND A KARATE LESSON BY OUR 9TH DEGREE BLACK BELT INSTRUCTOR..
WINGS LIFE-WISE AND L.Y.F.T. WORKSHOPS LIFE-WISE: WE WANT PEOPLE TO NOT ONLY BE STREET WISE BUT LIFE WISE. WE HELD THREE WORKSHOPS PER WEEK BY ZOOM IN AN 8-WEEK SERIES THAT RUNS FOR 48 WEEKS. PARTICIPANTS CAN JOIN FROM ALL OVER NM AND SEVERAL PRISONS HAVE JOINED THE WORKSHOPS AS WELL. L.Y.F.T.: LIFE SKILLS FOR YOUTH FAMILIES, AND TRAINING. WE PROVIDED WORKSHOPS FOR 3 JUVENILE FACILITIES IN NM.EACH JUVENILE UNIT RECEIVES 8-WEEKS OF WORKSHOPS UNTIL ALL YOUTH RECEIVE THE TRAINING. WORKSHOPS CONTINUE FOR 48 WEEKS.
WINGS FAMILY DAYS- WE HELD A BACK TO SCHOOL FAMILY EVENT AS A WALK THROUGH AND GAVE AWAY 150+ BACKPACKS AND SCHOOL SUPPIES, 20 BOXES OF FOOD, 80 BOXES OF CLOTHING, AND GAVE AWAY 24 BIKES. WE ALSO HELD A TOY GIVEAWAY FOR THE CHILDREN, AND HAD OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS GO SHOPPING EVENT FOR ADULTS AND KIDS TO SHOP FOR FREE FOR GENTLY USED ITEMS TO GIVE AS GIFTS, OVER $7,000 ITEMS WERE GIVEN AWAY.
