THE SHOP IS BELIEVED TO BE THE LONGEST CONTINUOUSLY RUNNING CHARITY OF ITS KIND IN THE U.S. IT SERVES TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN ANNUALLY, AND IS METRO DENVER'S LARGEST ANNUAL TOY DRIVE FOR NEEDY CHILDREN DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON. THE SHOP SETS UP A GIANT, TEMPORARY "TOY STORE" THAT OPENS FOR FOUR DAYS IN DECEMBER. PARENTS ARE REFERRED TO THE SHOP BY LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES.
