THE MISSION OF BUHL FAMILY NETWORK IS TO STRENGTHEN FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY.

BUHL FAMILY NETWORK HAS OWNED AND OPERATED A THRIFT STORE SINCE MARCH, 2020. THE THRIFT STORE PROVIDES LOW-COST MERCHANDISE TO ALL FAMILIES AND ALSO FREE MERCHANDISE TO PEOPLE WITH URGENT NEEDS. THE THRIFT STORE ALSO PROVIDES AN EMPLOYEMENT PROGRAM FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, TEENS, AND OTHERS WHO HAVE LIMITED WORK OPPORTUNITIES.
THE NETWORK, IN COOPERATION WITH BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB AND BUHL SCHOOL DISTRICT, ALSO PROVIDED PROGRAMS TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES INCLUDING DRUG PREVENTION, CHARACTER BUILDING, FAMILY DAY, AND GARDENING. IN FEBRUARY, 2022, THE NETWORK PURCHASED ANOTHER DOWNTOWN BUILDING TO HOUSE THESE PROGRAMS AND A SMALL BAKERY. RENOVATIONS TOOK PLACE IN THE BUILDING FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR. THE BUHL FAMILY CENTER AND BAKERY WERE OFFICIALLY OPENED IN FEB, 2023. THE BUHL FAMILY CENTER PROVIDES RECREATIONAL, EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL, AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT TO THE COMMUNITY.
