Part 3
SOUND COMMUNITIES WILL APPLY FOR GRANTS IN THIS NEXT YEAR FOR ONE PROJECT TO SUPPORT THE BREMERTON HOUSING AUTHORITY. BHA HAS A FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM THAT IT IS REBRANDING. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST BHA RESIDENTS AND PARTICIPANTS TO BECOME ECONOMICALLY SELF-SUFFICIENT THROUGH GOAL-SETTING AND COACHING. THIS PROGRAM IS EXPANDING AND NEEDS ADDITIONAL RESOURCES TO SUPPORT IT. THE COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS MANAGER IS LEADING THIS EXPANSION AND WILL ASSIST IN THE RESEARCH AND WRITING OF PROPOSALS. IN ADDITION, SOUND COMMUNITIES WAS AWARDED A $5,000 GRANT FROM THE NORCLIFFE FOUNDATION TO BE USED TOWARD SERVICES TO PROMOTE AGING IN PLACE.
