MIAMI FREEDOM PROJECT IS COMMITTED TO TRANSFORMING SOUTH FLORIDAS POLITICAL CULTURE THROUGH OUTREACH, MOVEMENT BUILDING, AND COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES WHILE BOLDLY ADVOCATING FOR CLIMATE, ECONOMIC, HEALTH, HOUSING, IMMIGRANT, AND RACIAL JUSTICE. BY IDENTIFYING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LATINX INTELLECTUAL, CULTURAL AND SPIRITUAL LEADERS WILLING TO CHANGE THE NARRATIVE OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE PROGRESSIVE IN MIAMI, WE ARE CREATING AN ENDURING, COMMUNITY-DRIVEN POWER BASE IN SOUTH FLORIDA READY TO SPEAK UP, KNOCK ON DOORS, AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER'S INITIATIVES FOR POSITIVE CHANGE.

OUR ORGANIZING & TRAINING PROGRAMS ENGAGES IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: REGULAR 1-ON-1 MEETINGS WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS TO IDENTIFY SHARED INTERESTS AND POTENTIAL COLLABORATIONS AND BRING THEM INTO CLOSER ALIGNMENT WITH GRASSROOTS EFFORTS. VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON PANELS AND EVENTS AROUND TOPICS IMPACTING OUR COMMUNITIES - SPECIFICALLY CLIMATE JUSTICE, ECONOMIC JUSTICE, ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE, IMMIGRATION REFORM, AND RACIAL JUSTICE MEDIA TRAINING FOR COMMUNITY AND GRASSROOTS LEADERS WHOSE VOICES WILL CARRY PARTICULAR RESONANCE IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH MEDIA.
