PLACE TRUST:PLACE IS MAKING CRITICAL MAPPING DATA MORE OPEN, RELIABLE AND ACCESSIBLE THROUGH THE CREATION OF A DATA TRUST GOVERNED IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND STEWARDED BY AN INDEPENDENT BOARD OF TRUSTEES. ACCURATE, UP TO DATE, AND CONSISTENT MAPPING DATA IS FUNDAMENTAL TO EFFORTS TO PROVIDE RESILIENT HOUSING INCLUDING THE DETERMINATION OF LOCATIONS FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION SITES, DEVELOPING NATURAL DISASTER RISK MODELS, REDUCING CLIMATE IMPACT, AND DOCUMENTING LAND RIGHTS AS JUST A FEW EXAMPLES. PLACE PROVIDES THE PRIMARY DATA UPON WHICH ANALYSIS, DECISIONS AND INVESTMENTS CAN BE CARRIED OUT IN ORDER TO DELIVER IMPACT.
