DUE TO COVID 19 AND VARIANTS WE WERE UNABLE TO OFFER ANY PROGRAMS DURING THE PAST SCHOOL YEAR. GOING FORWARD, STARTING IN SEPTEMBER 2022 OUR ORGANIZATIONS WILL BEPARTNERING WITH ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS, DURHAM COUNTY SCHOOLS THE ORANGE COUNTY SPORTSPLEX AND NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL. WE ANTICIPATE TEACHING 970 2ND GRADE PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS WATER SAFETY FOR THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2023. OUR PROGRAM PROVIDES THE FUNDING, CLASS STRUCTURE, VOLUNTEERS, PROGRAM SUPPLIES, SUPPORT AND OVERSIGHT. THE PROGRAM OFFERS 8 SESSIONS FOR EACH STUDENT. EACH SESSION WILL HAVE SEVERAL SMALL GROUPS OF STUDENTS WITH TWO INSTRUCTORS PER GROUP. INSTRUCTORS ARE EXPERIENCED AND HAVE BEEN EDUCATED TO OUR POLICIES AND PRACTICES. WE COORDINATE THE TRANSPORTATION WITH THE PRINCIPALS AND THEIR STAFF.
